It's no secret that there is a major shortage of umpires, nationwide. The Piqua Junior Baseball & Softball League is also feeling the effects of the shortage.
We are in desperate need of umpires for our home games. You don't have to be certified to earn some extra cash. We are offering $$$ for anyone willing to step up to the plate and help the teams. Here is the breakdown:

$20 - for every 8U softball or machine pitch baseball field umpire
$30 - for non-certified behind the plate baseball/softball umpire
$60 - for certified behind the plate baseball/softball umpire

We provide basic training for those wanting a better understanding on how to manage a game. We also provide protective gear and necessary equipment which can be picked up at the concession stand prior to the game. Once you return the equipment and game balls to the concession stand, you will receive your cash payment.
